Home remedies for hair growth

Aloe Vera contains properties that are great for healing our skin from cuts and burns. But did you know it contains enzymes that also promote hair growth? It is probably one of the best herbal remedies for hair regrowth and you can use it many different ways: one way is to take a few leaves off, cut them open and massage the pulp and juice onto your scalp. Rinse off after 30 mins.

Emu oil is obtained from Emu fat and has been proven to regenerate inactive hair follicles. Studies have reported that Emu oil revitalizes skin cells on the scalp and produce up to 80% hair regrowth naturally. Emu oil can be applied topically to the balding/thinning area and deeply massaged into the scalp. Leave it on for 10-20mins and immediately follow up with your regular shampoo. You don't need to rinse the oil off first.

The nettle plant is also used to arrest baldness and to trigger the growth of hair. The extract of the roots of this plant plays an active role in triggering hair growth. If you can't find the root extract, you can buy it in the form of capsules or pills. The root extract simulates the hair follicles in your scalp, thus initiating the growth process of hair. Also, nettle root extract is able to inhibit the conversion of testosterone into DHT, thus preventing hair loss and baldness.

One of the best hair growth home remedies would be a coconut oil massage. Use this if you don't like thick oil massages; in fact this is one of the best home remedies for hair growth you can make. Simply apply this oil to your hair and massage into the scalp and leave on for 30 minutes. Wrap your hair in a towel and leave that on for another 30 minutes. Finally wash it off using shampoo.

It is important to eat a diet that is rich in green, leafy vegetables. Fresh fruits should be eaten as opposed to refined sugar. Eat whole grain breads, instead of white. A general healthy diet will extend to your scalp.

Drink plenty of water. Water is so very important for all body functions.
